About Chris Purifoy

I'm a wine and tech entrepreneur by day and a crime fighter by night.  I live in Los Angeles, CA, but my roots are in Music City, TN.  I have a deep love for the beauty of words and symbols, and I believe this has helped me to be a better steward of my talents. 

I've been lucky to work on some amazing projects with so many amazing people. I'm currently building as a co-founder of Celebrity Souls, a wine co that pairs celebrities with winemakers to release exclusive wine runs for charity, and also as a founder of #Library, a Crowd AI information company.  I am also a mentor & partner at StartupCoin Ventures and a creative director and associate partner at Upstream Ventures.  Some of my favorite past projects include: iSchoolMusic.org, a learning management system for music educators, FundMusicEd, a crowdfunding platform for the arts in schools, and Olive, a marketing tool for music groups, PR agencies, film studios, and marketers.  You can see a full list of my projects here.

I co-founded the Restoring Music Foundation, a research organization providing education and resources for music companies to better manage the transition into digital, and to unlock new models to aid in the reconstruction of the music economy.  I'm very proud of the work we did there. I also sit on the Music Education Policy Roundtable, a government lobbyist group dedicated to higher standards for music education.  

In my spare time, I'm a music lover, mediocre guitar player, TED Head, HBO fanatic and a learning TV geek. I'm also a sucker for a great film and a vintage bottle of wine.
