About Chris Purifoy

I'm an entrepreneur by day and a crime fighter by night. I live in Los Angeles, CA.  I have a deep love for the beauty of words and symbols.

I am the co-founder of @CelebritySouls.  We like to think of ourselves as the TOMS of wine. Celebrity Souls pairs top celebrities with winemakers to raise money for important charities and social impact.  Some of my favorite projects include: @iSchoolMusic, a learning management system for music educators, @FundMusicEd, a crowdfunding platform for the arts in schools, and @Olive, a marketing tool for music groups, PR agencies, film studios, and marketers.  You can see a full list of my projects here.

I founded the Restoring Music Foundation, a research organization providing education and resources for music companies to better manage the transition into digital, and to unlock new models to aid in the reconstruction of the music economy.  I'm very proud of the work we did there. I also sit on the Music Education Policy Roundtable, a government lobbyist group dedicated to higher standards for music education.  

In my spare time, I'm a music lover, mediocre guitar player, TED Head, HBO fanatic and a learning TV geek. I'm also a sucker for a great film and a vintage bottle of wine.
